Out of the flow of the Isar and into the pull of black holes, past dusty desert landscapes and straight into the orbit of the European stoner scene—Mindcrawler is no ordinary desert rock outfit; they are an intergalactic sonic expedition. Since 2017, the Munich-based quartet has been navigating time and space with their distinctive sound, blending space rock, stoner, and psychedelia. If you're into thundering fuzz riffs, hypnotic grooves, and a touch of sci-fi mythos with prehistoric references, you’ve come to the right place.
With their debut album Lost Orbiter, Mindcrawler has not only redrawn the desert rock map but also proven that Munich is far more than just a stronghold of beer and brass music. Live, the
band unleashes cathartic sonic storms that send audiences into a cosmic trance—leading to shows with genre heavyweights like Rotor and a celebrated live EP.
Mindcrawler fuses classic stoner rock roots with fresh impulses and futuristic sonic experiments. They effortlessly balance between heavy gravity and the weightlessness of the unknown—delivering a sound that sometimes sweeps across sun-scorched landscapes like an unstoppable sandworm, sometimes drifts gently past a cosmonaut's scratched helmet like an interstellar nebula.
Having already established themselves as a staple of the European underground scene, Mindcrawler has shared the stage with bands like Fu Manchu, Villagers of Ioanna City and We Hunt Buffalo. Now, after a brief pause to recharge, they are shifting back into hyperdrive with new material—ready to take listeners on a sonic journey that lingers not only in the ears but reverberates through the entire body.
